Emerald on Calcite

Muzo, Western Emerald Belt, Boyacá, Colombia.

Light green color emerald prism, very transparent, with glowing faces and arranged vertically over a white calcite matrix with large and translucent crystals that contrast nicely with the black lutite area. The emerald has a complex beveled termination in the pinacoid.
