Euclase with Pyrite

Gachalá, Eastern Emerald Belt, Cundinamarca, Colombia.

The Colombian euclases always amaze, especially this specimen because we are in front of a very rare euclase on matrix with pyrite inclusions. The specimen is very aesthetical and the euclase crystal is very transparent with an intense blue color characteristic of Gachalá deposit. This color contrast nicely with the calcite’s white where the euclase is arranged. Due to its rareness and beauty this is a must-have mineral specimen for a collection of unique pieces.
